The grounds are fabulous. I also liked the canapés before dinner and the dinner.

A better range of traditional desserts e.g trifle.

The only good thing about the experience was the accommodation

The service the facilities,no option to the taster menu and not being forewarned of this . The atmosphere was non existent and the whole place was being left to one person to run, from taking the bags to moving the car to being the barman to waiting on people like manwell fro faulty towers . All in all would not go back and would not recommend to friends , the experience was not wort the £400 plus we paid

    Very good

The hotel looked like something out of a fairytale. The building + surroundings were beautiful and the staff extremely helpful.

Back of the curtains in our room was black with mold so we had to request them to be removed. Toothbrushes were not provided to us initially and it took me 20 mins to get some because no one was attending the reception in the night, the barman next door was busy serving guests, they had run out of toothbrushes so i had to wait for him to bring it later. Did not expect all these issues for the price we paid.

    Good

Staff was helpful and service oriented. Front lawns and grounds are great, especially to sit out or take a stroll.

Room was very disappointing and small - very very cramped with less space and low ceilings. Bed for 2 people was not even a queen size! No tea/coffee facilities in the room. Wifi didn't work. And the price for this room was a small fortune (and breakfast on top at £19.5 per person) - it is not worth even half of what we paid for it. Drinks at the bar over priced too. No options on Friday/Saturday evenings other than a 7 course meal for £90 per person, had to drive up to the next village for dinner. At the end of the whole stay we felt completely cheated for the price we paid, a total rip off. Should have read the reviews in more details before booking as several other people who have stayed have said the same things.

    Superb

Comfortable but s little cold in the bath toom

If you had not booked for dinner there was no food available after 6.30 and the bar staff were few and far between later in the evening

    Fabulous

    Location and staff.

Lounge bar needs ambiance, too quiet and a bit chilly. Light the fire! Bar menu a bit pricy for average food. Would have been great to try the restaurant food, but was booked a month ahead.
